Heartbeat is operated by That's the Spot Productions LLC, which does business as Heartbeat Safety. “We” and “us” in this document mean that company. We build and run Heartbeat ourselves, and every message it sends is sent by us, about our own users — never on behalf of another business.
This Cookie Policy explains how That’s the Spot Productions LLC, doing business as Heartbeat Safety and Heartbeat (“Heartbeat,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), uses cookies and similar technologies on heartbeat.pet, hrtbt.pet, and related web pages (the “Site”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
1. Cookies and Browser Storage
The Site does not set cookies and does not store information in your browser, including in local storage, session storage, or similar browser databases. Because the Site sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, it does not display a cookie consent banner.
2. Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking
The Site does not use analytics, advertising or marketing trackers, tag managers, embedded third-party video, social-media plug-ins, chat widgets, or device fingerprinting, and it does not build a profile of you from your device, browser, or connection.
3. Third-Party Requests
The Site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser requests a font file, Google receives your IP address and the name of the requested file, as any server does when a browser requests a file from it. Google Fonts does not set a cookie through the Site, and Heartbeat receives no information from that request. No other third-party requests are made by the Site.
4. Links Sent by Heartbeat
Certain links Heartbeat sends to account holders and emergency contacts contain a unique code, such as a link to an incident case or a care plan. When such a link is opened, our servers record that it was opened as part of the record of that incident. This record is kept on our systems, not on your device. Case links stop working when the account holder checks in again, and care-plan details are shown for a limited period as described in the Terms of Service.
5. The Heartbeat App
The Heartbeat mobile application stores sign-in information on your device so that you remain signed in. That storage is performed by the application, not by the Site, and is not a cookie. Information handled by the application is described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Future Web Sign-In
Heartbeat does not currently offer sign-in on the Site. If it does, the Site will use a cookie or similar storage strictly necessary to keep a signed-in session, set only after you sign in and used for no other purpose. Heartbeat will update this Policy before any such change takes effect. Heartbeat will not use cookies or similar technologies for analytics, advertising, or any third-party purpose without first asking for your consent, and the Site will remain usable if you decline.
Until web sign-in is available, an account holder who has lost access to their phone may contact support@heartbeat.pet for assistance.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy as the Site or our practices change. We will change the effective date when we do.
