Heartbeat

Example — the real page with invented names and digits that belong to nobody. Texting them adds no one; the reply says so.

Agree to be an emergency contact?

Amelia and Houdini's owner (# ending in **42) wants to list you as an emergency contact. If the owner stops checking in, we send you what the pets need — how to get in, food, medication — and nothing else.

By texting 555555 to (855) 552-1188 you agree to receive text messages and phone calls from Heartbeat at this number, only if the owner misses check-ins. Never marketing; how often depends on missed check-ins, and it may be never. You are asked once — if you do not answer, we ask somebody else. A second time only if nobody else is left and you said that is okay; a third only if the owner is a member and nobody on the list answered. Never a fourth. STOP ends texts and calls right away without affecting email; the unsubscribe link in any email ends email.

You can stop at any time by texting STOP to (855) 552-1188, or by writing to support@heartbeat.pet. Message and data rates may apply.

Text 555555 to agree

It opens your messages with the code filled in; you press send. If nothing opens, text 555555 to (855) 552-1188.

To decline, text STOP to the same number or do nothing. The invitation expires in three days, and the owner is told only if you agree.
